What does OEKO-TEX certification actually mean?
OEKO-TEX® is the gold standard when it comes to textile safety, ensuring products are free from harmful substances. When you see the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 label, it means our products have been put through the wringer, passing tests for more than 100 potential nasties. FLIPKIP proudly ensures that every item in our range meets these high standards—style and safety, all in one.
What does ‘organic’ silk and linen mean?
Good question! To be classed as ‘organic’, natural fibres like silk and linen are grown without nasty pesticides and chemical fertilisers. This makes organic fabrics great hypoallergenic and anti-bacterial choices, particularly for those with sensitive skin. Organic materials will also naturally biodegrade over time, unlike synthetic fabrics which eventually become waste and can emit harmful toxins.
How will I know when my fave products are back in stock?

Is your packaging eco-friendly?
We care about the plant! Your purchase will arrive in a sealed biodegradable bag and recyclable packaging. Plus, with every pillowslip or sleep accessory order, you will receive a reusable (and very cute) cotton/linen pouch.
Where is it made?
Our products are designed in Australia, Oeko-Tex certified, and ethically manufactured in China.
Do you have a retail presence?
We're currently only available online.

Why are FLIPKIP pillowcases half silk and half linen?
The flippable feature of our cases lets you sleep on silk and make your bed with linen, allowing you to get the best of both worlds while keeping your beauty and bedding aesthetics in check.
Can I purchase this item as a set?
Yes. We offer ‘single’ and ‘set’ options for all our pillowcases. We recommend opting for a set to enjoy a fun discount. Plus, we offer bundles so you can save even more on your favourite items.
What is my Silk Linen Pillowcase made from?
We pride ourselves on using premium materials for our sleep essentials. FLIPKIP® pillowcases are made from OEKO-TEX® certified organic 22mm Mulberry silk and pre-softened flax linen.
What makes FLIPKIP’s 22-momme silk superior to standard 19-momme silk?
Momme count refers to the density and quality of silk. The higher the count, the silkier, thicker and therefore more durable it is. Standard 19mm silk is almost 15% thinner than 22mm, making it prone to tearing and faster deterioration. Our cases are the optimal density and quality for bedding, ensuring longevity and comfort.

How big is the pillowcase?
Our International Queen-size pillowcases are 51cm x 76 cm. Our King-size pillowcases are 51cm x 91cm.
Will Crisp White Flipslips be available in King size?
Yes! We plan on having this colour available in King by end of year. Hold on Kippers!
What is the difference between Crisp White and Natural White colours?
- Crisp White is our brightest shade and is considered a classic stark white.
- Natural White is an off-white shade that is slightly more cream-toned.

You really can’t go wrong with our adjustable robes, but if you get stuck, we’ve put together a rough size guide to help you find your best fit. The size chart is located here, and in the sizing section of the Everyday Robe product page (it's a little ruler icon!).
Washing & Care
Can I wash my Silk Linen Pillowcase?
Absolutely! Our pillowcases are machine washable and easy to care for. Please refer to our care instructions (next question down) when washing your case to ensure a longer love affair.
What is the best way to wash and care for my Silk Linen Pillowcase?
Wash right, sleep tight! We made sure our pillowslips are low maintenance, so you can focus on the fun part—catching Z's. We recommend:
- Gentle hand or cold machine wash with other delicates.
- Place your slip inside-out in our mesh delicates wash bag for added protection and longevity.
- Use a mild, silk-safe, pH-balanced liquid detergent. (Powder detergent can sometimes get trapped in the mesh bag and leave a residue on your pillowslips. This can be resolved by washing it again, alone, to dissolve the powder.)
- Air dry in the shade.
- Avoid bleaches and fabric softeners.
- Do not dry clean.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Steam to remove creases.
- Avoid overloading your washing machine, as it can disrupt the flow of water through the wash bag, resulting in less effective cleaning.
Not following our care guide may lead to accelerated wear and/or changes in texture, shine, and colour. Linen and silk are natural fibres, so some changes in shine and texture over time are normal. And remember, your pillowslip is delicate! Be gentle when inserting your pillows. Try to avoid large inserts that can cause strain on the seams and zipper over time.
Any detergent recommendations?
We recommend using a mild, silk-safe pH-balanced liquid detergent. Steer clear of harsh detergents, bleaches and fabric softeners, folks.
How often should I wash my Silk Linen Pillowcase?
To maintain the integrity of your pillowcase, we recommend washing it once a week or every other week, depending on the frequency of use.
How can I clean stains?
If you get unlucky with a stain, we recommend pre-soaking the item for 15 minutes in warm water before washing. You can try the following solution:
- 1 litre of warm water
- 1/2 teaspoon of liquid laundry detergent
- 1 tablespoon of white vinegar
- After pre-soaking, rinse the item thoroughly with water and wash it right away.
Skincare that contains Benzoyl peroxide, Alpha hydroxy acids or Chlorine bleach is likely to stain or bleach your pillow, so we suggest avoiding direct contact with your Flipslip while using.
What is the best way to wash and care for my Everyday Robe?
We believe our Everyday Robe should be comfy—well, every day! To keep your 100% cotton terry robe soft for longer, we recommend following our careful wash instructions. We suggest:
- A gentle cold wash with similar colours.
- A fragrance-free, mild eco detergent.
- Avoiding harsh detergents that can strip the softness from the terry cotton.
- Line drying in the shade when possible.
For added softness, you may want to consider:
- Partially tumble drying your robe to add some extra fluffiness, but we do not recommend solely drying your robe this way.
- Adding a cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle to remove any detergent buildup that can cause your robe to feel more textured. However, it is normal for there to be some changes to the texture of your robe after multiple washes and wear.
Orders
How do I change or cancel my order?
For any changes or cancellations, just shoot us an email at hello@flipkip.com ASAP with your request. If your order hasn’t been fulfilled yet, we can easily modify or cancel it for you. If it’s already on its way and you’d like to make a change or cancellation, you’ll need to return the item(s) following our returns/exchange policy.
How can I change my address after ordering?
Drop us an email at hello@flipkip.com with your correct address as soon as you can. Once the item has shipped, we won’t be able to change the address while it’s in transit, so the sooner you let us know, the better!
What if my order is incorrect, faulty or damaged?
We sincerely apologise if there is an issue with your order! Your happiness means the world to us, and we’re here to help. Please inspect your order upon receipt and email us immediately if it is defective, damaged, or incorrect, so our customer service team can make it right.
How do I track my order?
Once your order is fulfilled by our warehouse, you’ll receive an email with your tracking number. You can track Australian orders through AusPost, while international orders are trackable via FedEx (USA) or AusPost International (everywhere else), unless you’ve paid for FedEx Express Global shipping.

How long will it take my FLIPKIP purchase to arrive?
Orders within Australia typically arrive within 2-5 business days, while international orders via FedEx generally take 3-7 business days (depending on whether you opted for free economy shipping or paid for Priority Express).
Australia:
- Express Shipping Speed: 1 to 4 business days
- Standard Shipping Speed: 2 to 8 business days
International:
- FedEx International Priority® Express: 2 to 3 business days
- FedEx International Economy®: 5 to 7 business days
- AusPost Standard Global Shipping: 7 to 15 business days
You will receive a tracking number with your order confirmation email so you can follow your delivery. Please note that during busy holiday and sale seasons, these delivery times may be impacted.

You bet—we ship around the globe! Delivery times and shipping prices will vary depending on where you call home. If you're having issues at checkout with your shipping location, please get in touch via our online chat or email us at hello@flipkip.com.
How much does shipping cost?
Delivery charges are based on the weight of the items in your order and your location, which are calculated at checkout.
If you're based in Australia or the United States, you'll receive free standard shipping on all orders over $60.

Returns & Exchanges
What is your return/exchange policy?
We're proud of the quality of our products and hope you fall in love with your FLIPKIP® purchase. But if things aren’t quite right, we've got you covered with hassle-free returns.
Our Return Policy
We have a 30-day return policy, meaning you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return or exchange, your item must be:
- Unused, unwashed, and unmarked.
- In its original packaging to keep it protected and hygienic (most of our items are packaged in biodegradable sleeves).
- With tags still attached.
To start your return or exchange, simply email us at customercare@flipkip.com.
For Australian orders, we offer free returns for exchanges or store credit, with a prepaid postage label provided. If you're requesting a refund, a $10 fee for the return label will be deducted from your refund.
For international returns and exchanges, please email us at customercare@flipkip.com.
Exchanges will be processed once we receive your return at our warehouse. Please allow up to 5 business days for processing, though this may take longer during busy periods. We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved. If your return doesn’t meet the outlined standards, it will be ineligible for return, and we’ll ship it back to the original address. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded via your original payment method. Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
Unfortunately, shipping costs (if applicable) are non-refundable.
What can’t be returned?
Certain items cannot be returned, such as digital goods, used or slept-on items, and custom products (e.g., special orders or personalised items). Please get in touch if you have any questions about a specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards or sale items unless deemed faulty by FLIPKIP®.
